The Inside Scoop - Development
How did you get into Development? Originally, I wanted to be a Nutritionist but after going to Uni (Bath Spa) and having lectures in Product Development and doing work experience in NPD in my summer holiday, I knew that I wanted to be in Development and in a creative role…and I love food which helps.

What does a typical day look like for you? (If there is such thing!)

No two days are the same…ever! Typically, my day starts with a cuppa (as I’m sure it does for everyone), checking emails and getting stuck into the day. I can be making and designing new and exciting samples for our customers, in the factory coordinating trials for new products, doing customer presentations, helping with sample requests, launch meetings and freezing down ice cream (and eating said ice cream).

What makes Yeo Valley a special place to work?

Definitely the people you work with; be it office based or in the factory - everyone is helpful. Farm to Fork (or spoon) culture and our distinctive Brand.

What’s the most rewarding part of your role?

Seeing a customer buying the products in store that you helped work on, and them not knowing they’re standing next to the person that designed that product.

If you were a Yeo Valley yogurt flavour which one would you be and why?

Can’t beat going natural, especially when it comes in a pouch to reduce single use plastics.
