So, what will I be doing?

As Engineering Store Person, you'll be responsible for ensuring our Newton Abbot Engineering team are well stocked and have all of the parts they need to keep the machinery going, so we can continue making our great products.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Engineering Manager and wider department to prioritise and manage the demands of team
  • Looking at stock replenishment, administer the office, stores and Pemac (CMMS)
  • Ordering spares and managing the budget
  • Arranging servicing and repairs on site equipment due for inspection or maintenance
  • Using the company computer system to raise purchase orders
  • Sourcing equipment at the most competitive prices
  • Logging stock items on internal inventory system

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

The important things:

  • 5 GCSE’S or equivalent including English and Maths
  • IT literacy with knowledge of MS office applications such as Excel and Word, Power Point
  • Use of CMMS ( Computer Maintenance Management System)
  • Ability to keep site accounting and budget control to KPI targets
  • Engineering component knowledge and abbreviations used in the field of engineering procurement
  • Engineering equipment and drawings knowledge

Even better if you have:

  • Engineering equipment and drawings knowledge relative to FMCG Industry
