So, what will I be doing?

Yeo Valley are committed to the purpose to to nurture & nourish people and plan and make great food the right way forever. Over the past 12 months, the Passionate People vision and strategy have been defined, with exciting plans in place to deliver on this over the next 12- 18 months. The focus on this role will be the delivery of the plan (enabled by some internal artefacts/models and project governance).

This means that a critical requirement of the maternity cover role is to chair the Passionate People strategy group, and to lead and motivate the team responsible for delivery, ensuring building pace and momentum behind the plan already developed (with room to change direction, aligned to any changing needs of the business/new insights).

As chair of the Passionate People strategy group and member of the ET, there is also a requirement to embed a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

Somewhat unique to Yeo Valley is our ownership structure, having become part employee owned in 2020, a key pillar of the Passionate People strategy is to ensure that as co-owners of our business, we all have influence and feel inspired by the future and direction of our business. As HR Director, working closely with the CEO, ET, and Chair of the Council, this role will help in leading how we embed our co-ownership philosophy, ensuring meaningful, influential co-ownership forums which integrate with local and companywide operating model.

As well as driving and overseeing delivery of the Passionate People strategy and associated workstreams, the HR Director will lead the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) – enabling them to deliver on the parts of the strategy for which they are accountable, as well as their functional responsibilities and accountabilities.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

  • A progressive approach to HR and People Management
Desirable:
