So, what will I be doing?

Join a team that helps create the foundation of everything we do. At Yeo Valley, we’re proud of our world-class products and the people who make them. We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Skilled Operative to join our operations team at our Blagdon facility, supporting the safe, accurate and efficient movement of packaging, stock and finished product across the site.

As a key part of the production process, you’ll help ensure our products are prepared, packed and supplied to downstream production on time and to the high standards expected in a chilled food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where accuracy, care and teamwork are essential.

At the heart of our business is a deep connection to nature and a commitment to nurturing our people. As a co-owned company, we believe in supporting every team member as both a sponsor and a co-owner. You’ll be part of a workplace that values care for our environment, our products and, most importantly, each other. We grow stronger together by creating a culture where respect, wellbeing and development are part of everyday life.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work to daily targets while maintaining strong food safety, hygiene and quality standards. Depending on operational requirements, you’ll be trained and signed off to work in at least one of the following core areas:

  • Boxroom – Running the box machines, picking daily box orders, carrying out stock checks, and operating the pallet inverter and card and plastic balers.
  • Stores – Picking, stock checks and returns using a handheld terminal, driving a reach truck, ordering goods in and operating the pallet inverter.
  • Despatch and yard – FLT driving, loading trailers, receiving goods in, tipping dolavs, chemical handling, managing waste streams, environmental cleaning and company driving duties.
  • Fridge and coldstore – Wrapping finished product, carrying out temperature checks using a scanner, and scanning stock to location.
  • Production support – Operating equipment, monitoring quality standards, maintaining hygiene protocols and helping ensure efficient, on-time supply to downstream production.

About you

We’re looking for someone with experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or food production environment who is confident using handheld scanners and shop floor systems. You’ll take real care over the accuracy of stock, paperwork and processes, and bring a safety-first mindset to everything you do.

You’ll need good attendance and timekeeping, a flexible approach to moving between tasks as the operation needs, and a willingness to learn and develop. An in-date FLT counterbalance or reach truck licence and a full UK driving licence would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.

If you take pride in doing a job properly, work well with others and want to develop in a supportive, values-led business, we’d like to hear from you.
