So, what will I be doing?

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to lead and develop a shift Engineering team. Working at our biggest production facility in Blagdon, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of Production equipment by leading and developing a team of 10 engineers on your shift.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Taking a lead role in managing any situations where business integrity, people safety, environmental impact or plant and or assets may be at risk or be adversely effected for any reason
  • Delivering a high performing team through effective coaching and mentoring
  • Managing and supporting personal development, succession planning, task training and general attendance and performance
  • Understanding customer requirements (internal & external) to ensure effective deployment of resources 
  • Ensuring that food safety  and quality standards are effectively delivered and monitored 
  • Engaging, promoting and supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Managing site assets through effective use and interaction with CMMS, stores and administration function to deliver planned and unplanned activities
  • Ensuring team members are suitably trained

  • Proven Engineering Leader
  • Ability to work with autonomy and influence peers
  • Great prioritisation skills 
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Experience of developing high standards of Health & Safety
  • Demonstrable understanding of Lean principles
Even better if:
  • You have experience of managing a budget
  • You have knowledge of Steam Generation Plant
  • You are able to contribute to environmental compliance
