So, what will I be doing?

As a Multi-Skilled Production Operator, you'll be joining a family owned business that are committed to making high quality products. In this role, you'll make sure production on site is running as effectively as possible, by completing first line reactive and proactive maintenance on equipment, to ensure we're getting the best out of our machines and optimising use of raw materials.  

In return, you'll earn a competitive salary, work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (meaning that you're only actually in work for the equivalent of half a year!) and receive a number of other benefits including company pension scheme, life assurance and holiday. There's more on our package below.

Your responsibilities:

  • Carrying out basic fault finding on our machines supporting with identifying the root cause of the issue and fixing it.
  • Ensuring all equipment is properly cared for by the completion of effective cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Using the site based equipment and machinery in the most effective way to meet the production demand and support the delivery of the highest quality of products.
  • Owning the changeover activities ensuring you have the raw materials needed in your area.
  • Analysing and interpreting machine parameters to support  effective decision making and drive improvements.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of downtime and raw material usage in an area.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling our safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions and escalating to other team members when support is needed.
  • Role modeling a 'Clean as You Go' approach, maintaining workplace organisation and visual management standards with the team.
