So, what will I be doing?

As Engineering Team Manager you'll be joining a fast-paced family-owned food manufacturing company that are committed to making great, wholesome, products for customers all over the UK. You'll be tasked with leading, mentoring and developing a team of shift engineers to ensure that our Assets are running as effectively and efficiently as possible. Making sure our Assets are always operational so we can get our delicious products out to our customers in a timely manner.
  
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Taking a lead role and playing an active part in managing any situation where business integrity, people safety or environmental impact may be adversely affected.
  • Recruiting, leading, motivating  and developing direct reports to deliver a highly effective and passionate Team.
  • Passionately delivering Personal Development Plans in the Engineering Team creating Co-Owner inter dependencies to grow exceptional talent.
  • Ensuring team members and contractors are trained and operating within the appropriate procedures and systems within the Quality Management System (QMS) including Critical Control Points.
  • Ensuring the safe working practices of all staff, contractors and visitors.
  • Clearly understanding internal and external customer requirements to facilitate effective deployment of resources in a timely fashion.
  • Supporting site Continuous Improvement programs and Capital project activity in line with business requirements.
  • Ensuring the required standards of food safety and food quality are met and monitored with suitable controls in place through engaged people and Engineering practices and procedures.
  • Engaging in, promoting and supporting Continuous Improvement and change initiatives throughout the department and site.
  • Managing of site assets through effective use and interaction with the site CMMS, stores and administration functions to deliver Planned and Unplanned activities in a safe and timely manner.
  • Supporting the team development through department training needs and Personal development plans.
  • Effectively monitor the team’s performance against our business KPIs including Downtime, Planned Maintenance Completion and Costs, identifying and leading improvement plans, corrective actions and embedding ways of working to deliver ongoing sustainable performance.
