As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and driving a culture of continuous improvement across Food Safety and Quality, ensuring our site operates in line with the business Technical Strategy, policies and standards.

As an integral member of the Site Management Team, reporting directly to the Site Technical Manager, you will lead and develop the site QA function, with responsibility for a team of six direct reports. You will inspire, coach and develop your team, fostering a strong Quality Assurance culture and working collaboratively with various departments to ensure that food safety, product quality and compliance remain at the heart of everything we do.

You will champion product compliance, food safety and brand integrity, proactively identifying and managing risks to protect both our customers and our business. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance professional who is passionate about developing people, building strong cross-functional relationships and driving a positive, proactive food safety and quality culture. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across the site and will deputise for the Technical Manager when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and technical excellence.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Essential:

 

  • Demonstrable experience within a relevant technical management role within the food industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Practical experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP implementation, and quality systems management.
  • Good IT skills with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills

 

Desirable:

  • Dairy science / manufacturing experience
  • A recognised audit qualification
  •  Food science, analytical chemistry or microbiological education
