So, what will I be doing?

At an exciting time of growth at our Crewkerne production site, we are looking for great people to join us as production operatives, making our great nutritious food.

We looking at Days & Nights Production Operatives to join our team in our Crewkerne, we will be providing interview slots for both Days and Nights Production operatives.

The site is split into different departments, including Dairy production, making great dairy products, Fruit production, supplying our business with tasty fruit to go into our yogurt and our new Savory production team, who make hearty soups, just in time for autumn.

You will be happy to work in a fast-paced production environment. Full training is provided, although if you have worked in food manufacturing before, that would be an advantage. There is scope to increase the hourly pay once further training has been completed.

We have production operative roles available on a shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts, following a pattern of 6am to 6pm.

Pay rates vary from £12.26 to £12.81 per hour, (or £26,775.84to £27,977.04) depending on experience for days

£13.38p/h to £14.05p/h (or £29,225 to £30,685) Depending on experience for nights

 Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working in a fast-paced production area
  • Preparing ingredients for production
  • Assisting with the production and packing of food products
  • Carrying out hygiene and general cleaning duties as required
  • Accurately completing production records
  • Manual handling
  • Operating MHE

Some companies might refer to this role as 'Production Operator', 'Skilled Operator' , Multiskilled operator or 'Production Operative'. This role is commutable by car from Yeovil, Chard, Ilminster, Taunton and surrounding areas.
