So, what will I be doing?

As an Apprentice with Yeo Valley you will study the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship over 24 months, through Weston College.

You will spend most of your week with Yeo Valley Finance Team at Acorn House (Highbridge), and attend  Weston College occasionally to learn the theoretical elements of the role.

Please note this may be evening sessions at college.

Your assessment will be done in the workplace, where you will receive visits from your college assessor.

You will undertake a number of qualifications including the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Advanced Diploma.

The programme covers a range of topics, including advanced bookkeeping, final accounts preparation, management accounting (costing), indirect tax, ethics for accounting, and spreadsheets.

At the end of the apprenticeship you will be required to do an end point assessment which includes: the AAT Advanced Diploma assessments, skills tests, a portfolio of evidence, a synoptic assessment and a professional discussion.

Hours Mon-Friday 9- 5

Pay – National Living Wage dependent on age

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Essential:

  • Minimum level of education – A levels (with minimum of GSCE in Maths)
  • Desire to study for AAT
  • An ability to deliver high quality, “right first time” information in a timely manner
  • A confident person who shows good communication skills
  • IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills
  • Full driving license as you may need to visit other sites.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working as part of a busy team
