As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing our engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and efficiency. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, improve processes, and ensure the highest standards of operational performance.

You'll be inspiring and leading teams in an established, distinctive and ambitious food manufacturing company that has a commitment to Nurture & Nourish People & Planet by Making Great Food the Right Way. Forever.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & People Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring engagement and continuous growth.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise plant performance.

  • Culture & Collaboration: Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and accountability across departments.

  • Reliability & Maintenance Excellence: Drive best-in-class maintenance strategies, ensuring machinery and processes run successfully with minimal disruptions.

  • Sustainability & Innovation: Support Yeo Valley’s commitment to sustainability by leading initiatives that improve energy effectiveness and reduce waste.

  • Health & Safety: Champion a safety-first approach, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Some companies might refer to this role as a "Head of Engineering", "Site Engineering Manager" or "Chief Engineer"

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CI Techniques.
  • Proven track record of specifying and running medium to large scale projects from conception to completion.
  • Engineering Qualification (HND/Degree)
  • Knowledge of RCM techniques and principles
