So, what will I be doing?

At Yeo Valley, we’ve been making delicious, organic dairy products for over 50 years. As a family-run business, we believe in doing things the right way – sustainably, ethically, and with people at the heart of what we do.

Yeo Valley is looking for a Senior Process Technologist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio. This role focuses on managing the launch and evaluation of new and existing products across categories such as yogurt, ice cream, desserts, savoury, and fruit.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, implement innovations, and ensure the highest quality standards. Your expertise will be critical in delivering "right first time" outcomes while supporting continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Process Support: Manage development projects from concept approval to launch, collaborating with Innovation teams to identify opportunities for new products and improvements.

  • Process Improvement & Optimisation: Analyse manufacturing processes, recommend enhancements, and conduct trials to validate improvements.

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain quality management systems, support audits, and resolve process-related issues to ensure food safety and compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Production, Quality Assurance, and Innovation teams to ensure seamless implementation of new processes and products.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare accurate records, report findings, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Train production teams on new processes and improvements to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Food-related qualification or significant experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dairy, desserts, or ice cream.

  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience in a food process NPD role.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Full driver’s license (due to multi-site requirements).

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of food production legislation, industry standards, and HACCP.

  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical thinker with a proactive, tenacious attitude and a desire to drive change.

Why should I join the family?

  • annual bonus (as part of the Employee Benefit Trust, based on company performance for the year)
  • learning and development opportunities; we’re committed to ensuring all of our employees have the chance to grow

Our closing dates are a guide for when the application window should close, although we may close the advert sooner if we can. So, we recommend you get your application in straight away – and don’t miss the opportunity to join us!
