So, what will I be doing?

We are Looking for a Dairy Planning Manager to join our team at Yeo Valley, You will be expected to deliver a key operational leadership role in the Planning Team. You will use your expertise and leadership skills to lead and develop a team of dedicated experts.

Leading the Dairy Planning team, you are responsible for ensuring the optimized delivery and cost-effective utilization of our portfolio of dairy materials across all our manufacturing operations.

Your key role in enabling our commitment to Nature Positive farming through the operational delivery of our dedicated milk pools will be a significant contributor to Impacts strategy.

You will optimize our investment in new technologies through the most effective use of our dairy supply contracts and materials utilization at our operational sites.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and leadership that ensure sufficient dairy and base raw materials are available to meet our operational requirements.
  • Effective liaison with suppliers to manage the provision and operational balancing of liquid raw materials to support and optimise the production plans.
  • Responsibility for managing forecasting dairy requirements from and to Suppliers. Managing change driven by new systems
  • Provide a pivotal advisory role in procurement strategies and contracting of liquid dairy ingredients.
  • Optimism the use of planning systems to maximize the cost effectiveness of our dairy supply chain.
  • Build excellent relationships with our dairy and base raw material suppliers. Provide the key operational contact and represent the business in supplier reviews and meetings
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships, confidence and trust with internal teams. To create shared understanding and effective solutions.
  • To provide out of hours cover for dairy materials.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Essential:

  • Experience in a FMCG business & stock order management.
  • Project management and change management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills & MS Office skills.
  • Excellent numeracy & literacy skills.
  • Effective time management skills.

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline preferred
  • Experience of stock management in a dairy.
  • Understanding of Power Bi
  • CIPS Qualification
