In this role, you will manage the data needed to demonstrate that we are both climate and nature positive, evidencing the inherent benefits of our farming approach across the four pillars of our progressive standards - Animal health & welfare, Climate, Biodiversity, and the Farming community, leading to increased resilience and ecosystem services.
You will lead, with support from the Regenerative Farming Manager and wider Responsible Business team, our work with external experts ensuring we adopt market leading, scalable measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) methodologies which are robust, comprehensive and aligned to our business needs and targets.
You will partner with the Digital & Technology team to securely collate and store all data, designing reporting mechanisms and dashboards to transform complex datasets into clear evidence and actionable insights that support decision-making across multiple stakeholders from farm to fork.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and articulate clearly the needs of internal and external data users including our farmers, co-owners and customers to enable and demonstrate improvement across a wide range of metrics.
- Business Partner the data team within the Digital and Technology function to develop connections and systems which enable the collation, management and analysis of data, evidencing the outcomes of our farmer groups across the four pillars of animal health & welfare, climate, biodiversity, and the farming community.
- Make recommendations on best practice measurement and data collection methodologies ensuring we are leading in our approach and anticipate future business needs
- Lead our relationships with external MRV providers
- Ensure we are able to prove that regenerative organic farming is carbon positive by managing data collection and interpretation from farms within our milk pools for both emissions and removals.
- Enable the delivery of wider business projects such as working with external researchers to prove the benefits of our farming approach through the effective management and provision of appropriate data as appropriate.
- Communicate our project work, data, and evidence to diverse audiences through presentations or reports to showcase our brands and farming approach, clearly demonstrating positive outcomes. This will include farmers, co-owners, customers and other external stakeholders.
- Play a key role in the ongoing development and evolution of our farming standards.
- Co-ordinate the independent third party verification of key evidence and data to support onward claims.
- Provide data analysis to meet customer needs in support of the Head of Responsible Business or Regenerative Farming Manager.
- Partner with the Regenerative Farming Manager and Data team to ensure relevant information is shared with, analysed by and received from the Centre for Soil Dynamics, in line with agreed project workstreams.
